[The basement is really obviously a space shared by two people, and two very different people at that - most of it is almost needlessly organized, but there's a good portion of it that's...decidedly more haphazard, with various banners and insignia all over. For what it's worth, though, they've done a decent job clearing out the space given that the previous owner of this house seems to have been some sort of compulsive hoarder, and the boxes of Potions have mostly been cordoned off to one side, if stacked a little perilously high (why would anyone need so many).
Ishimaru himself is sitting at the table they've put down there (for the sake of letting him write or make charts or do self-imposed homework privately with the deadbolt latched, on days when he's in a particularly poor mental state) and he seems to be going through things and trying to get them organized in a semi-cohesive manner when Naegi comes in. He seems a little scattered but generally fine, and he looks up when he's addressed.]
