Well. That's weird. But there's nothing about this situation that isn't weird, is there, and if the Pokémon are suddenly real then...maybe all the other 'mon series can be real as well. Right? Is that how this is working?

...it's going to do his head in if he thinks about it too long, but just...he's a kid from Japan that was born in the '90s, he knows how 'mon series work. He's never actually seen one, but he can kind of get the concept. If you say you're some sort of digital critterthing he is not going to question it because otherwise his sanity is just going to collapse in on itself.]


I...see...well, in that case, it isn't the same at all among humans! It isn't like what you would consider evolutionary lines, or everyone of the same sort of appearance being considered a "family" of sorts - it's a more personal sort of bond, implying blood relations. Direct descendants of specific individuals!
