[Well, Magikarp or not, that's definitely something; he'll actually listen to that without trying to interrupt or interject anything, though his expression has gone solemn while he takes all that in - there's a sort of severity to it that almost never really goes away, but that's pretty much par for the course and not some sort of negative response to anything Vanille is doing.]

That's interesting - my own world is nothing like this; the parts of it I'm used to are more like the larger cities I've seen here. Goldenrod City is probably the closest to it! We don't have monsters - animals, yes, but nothing like the creatures here - and we don't have magic or anything like that, either; it seems a lot of people here have some sort of magical powers.

Most of my time was spent either in school or studying at home; I lived with my family, of course, but we were never particularly close.
