If you mean how to speed the process along, I don't think it's really possible. I could be wrong, but everyone works through things at different paces. Depending on the person they could dive into their routine and eventually they realize that things don't quite feel so bad anymore, others will realize they're distracting themselves and need to find another way to handle it. Talking can help too if there's someone you trust to listen. Sometimes just getting whatever is bothering off your chest can help.
