It's one thing to say "I'm glad as many of us survived as possible"; from that perspective, the relief is something that can be applied generally to everyone who survived. It's good that the person lived because it's good that someone lived, and they're the person who did. That's a fair statement; I'm glad as many of us survived as possible, as well.

But I would also say, "I'm glad Naegi-kun survived everything that happened", and that's something personal to Naegi-kun; it's not something I could say to Hagakure-kun or Togami-kun or Asahina-san or Fukawa-san, because the reason I'm glad that Naegi-kun survived, above and beyond the usual sentiment, is that I'm aware the mastermind might've triumphed in the end if he hadn't been at the final trial.

That's the difference to distinguish.
