IC Contact/Voicemail
"You've reached Kiyotaka Ishimaru; I seem to have missed you! My sincerest apologies for that - but if you leave your name and state your business, firmly and concisely, I'll return your contact as soon as I can!
Until then, I look forward to speaking to you; do what you can to make your day pleasant and productive, and be sure to keep your head up!"
[Please state in the subject line if OOC planning is preferred and we can handwave like the wind, but otherwise IC will be assumed!]
[voice] 10/13
Well, the only way to confirm it for herself is to actually reach out and contact her friend.
The fact that the name "Kiyotaka Ishimaru" still comes up is a good sign...but can she actually press to dial? Come on, Maka, don't be a wuss! Ring...ring...ah, it hit his voicemail.]
...Hey, uh...it's Maka. Sorry for bugging you, but I just...wanted to check and see if you're okay.
--Um. Bye. [Click! Oh god that was embarrassing.]
[voice]
Maka-kun? I'm fine, yes - is everything okay?
[voice]
[Geez, now she feels really dumb for worrying so much. Maybe Kirikou has a point about that worrying thing.]
I was kinda thinking that...that you went home. A lot of my friends have been doing that lately so I was worried.
[No even acknowledging it aloud doesn't make it less embarrassing. Sigh.]
[voice]
[That said, that is cause for concern, isn't it...]
Are you all right? You're not by yourself now, are you?
[voice]
Yeah. I'm not...no, I'm not alone, Kirikou is still here. He's the one from my world.
[Really, Maka, you're just wasting his time.]
But I haven't been using the Gear lately, so I wasn't sure what everyone else was up to. Ah, except Chihiro of course, we hung out at the circus the other day.
[voice]
You know you can talk to me whenever you want, right? About anything.
[voice]
[And she really means that, even if to her it feels like all she's done is dump her issues on him with no reciprocation.]
[voice]
[...he's...pretty sure. That's kind of what Naegi has been trying to drill into his head, anyway.]
[voice]
[But she should probably let go of how things work in her world at this point.]
We feel it out in our souls, or hide it so the dynamic isn't disrupted.
[A pause, and:] Sorry. I shouldn't have said that.
