[This is silly, she's worrying for nothing, but still...with how many people have been going back to their own worlds lately, Maka can't help but think--

Well, the only way to confirm it for herself is to actually reach out and contact her friend.

The fact that the name "Kiyotaka Ishimaru" still comes up is a good sign...but can she actually press to dial? Come on, Maka, don't be a wuss! Ring...ring...ah, it hit his voicemail.]

...Hey, uh...it's Maka. Sorry for bugging you, but I just...wanted to check and see if you're okay.

[...well, that will get a response almost immediately, good lord. He's been at work for large portions of the day, but he's off now and currently attempting to defeat the DDR machine again, so it's just a matter of getting outside where there's no noise.]

I was kinda thinking that...that you went home. A lot of my friends have been doing that lately so I was worried.

[Admittedly, no, she doesn't feel that "all right," she feels tired and beaten down, unsure of how to feel or react to things. Losing friends through means that neither party can control is hellish when you already have abandonment issues.]

But I haven't been using the Gear lately, so I wasn't sure what everyone else was up to. Ah, except Chihiro of course, we hung out at the circus the other day.
