[The video is short, only a few seconds long; the most that can really be gleaned from the background for the time being is that it sounds like there's ocean nearby, the surf splaying up against the rocks in the background. [For once the feed is showing somewhere other than Goldenrod when it flickers on; Ishimaru seems to have taken up refuge on one of the larger rocks near the beach in Cherrygrove. He's not too high up, because there's no sense in risking literally falling into what would surely be a really anticlimactic set of injuries; his expression on the video is still rather severe, but that's moreso due to just being how he is rather than him actually being displeased with anything.

Ishimaru's no longer in view - it seems he's decided to hold the device instead - so it's a bit hard to tell if he's still got that immensely strict expression going on; however, the camera is slanted sharply skyward, toward that overcast sky. The angle isn't an error; rather, it's showing off some...rather thick white flakes falling from on high.

[The feed will shut off immediately after that's out there; those wanting action can find him wandering around Cherrygrove, looking incredulous as hell and, as Parker would describe it, he's definitely appreciating the sky today because good lord he cannot stop staring at this.

You don't need to do that. They can read your mind, so simply projecting your thoughts can get their attention. Of course, they can simply read your thoughts at any time.

Not necessarily. It depends on the temperament of the Pokémon. Some of them prefer to avoid reading minds, others will do it whether you want them to or not. I suggest discussing it with your Pokémon.

It seems to be common for those who train Psychic-types in this world. It is a bit disconcerting at first, but you'll get used to it in no time.

At any rate...what do you want me to do with them? Just monitor their behavior, or is there something specific?

I would like you to study how they interact with your other Pokémon, especially those who aren't Psychic-types. I would also like to know how your Pokémon interact with other humans. Do they attempt to read their minds? Can they be commanded by other trainers? That sort of thing. There's plenty to study about their interactions and I can hardly do it all on my own.

And what is this research going to be used for...?

It's purely academic research. I can't stand being here without doing something with myself.

There's no need to panic. As I said, I'm interested in this research to keep me occupied; this has absolutely nothing to do with Team Rocket, and I have no intention of handing my research over to them.

Excellent, I'm glad to hear it. You may proceed at your own pace, studying whatever particularly interests you in regards to the Psychic-type. I don't expect weekly reports or anything of the like; simply inform me of your progress every so often.
