003. Video/Action for Cherrygrove City, and also one other thing
[PRIVATE VIDEO TO COLONEL ARCHER]
[The video is short, only a few seconds long; the most that can really be gleaned from the background for the time being is that it sounds like there's ocean nearby, the surf splaying up against the rocks in the background. Ishimaru isn't really wasting time; he's here to say his piece and then move on, clearly.]
Good afternoon, Colonel Archer! I've done what you asked of me, with regards to getting Pokémon to be researched - I'm awaiting further instructions!
Thank you in advance for your time!
[For once the feed is showing somewhere other than Goldenrod when it flickers on; Ishimaru seems to have taken up refuge on one of the larger rocks near the beach in Cherrygrove. He's not too high up, because there's no sense in risking literally falling into what would surely be a really anticlimactic set of injuries; his expression on the video is still rather severe, but that's moreso due to just being how he is rather than him actually being displeased with anything.
Dear lord, though, is it overcast out here.]
While it troubles me to see how little people prioritize education and proper study over everything else, I understand that most see pointless activities as a -
[...he hesitates for a moment, flinching back a little and blinking at something that can't exactly be seen on the feed; he shakes his head after a second before moving on, seeming to decide that whatever small stimulus caused that isn't worth bothering with.]
...r-right, anyway!! People have been trying to explain why they engage in such senseless activities and that they don't see them as a...
...
...waste...of time...
[He twitches a little again, swiping across the bridge of his nose with two fingers and studying them intensely, as though understanding whatever he was swiping away is fundamental to saving the damn world.]
Is it raining...?
[It's about then that he looks up, and...]
...Kyohei, shut that off for a second -
[VIDEO, ABOUT TWO MINUTES AFTER THE FIRST.]
[Well! Ishimaru's no longer in view - it seems he's decided to hold the device instead - so it's a bit hard to tell if he's still got that immensely strict expression going on; however, the camera is slanted sharply skyward, toward that overcast sky. The angle isn't an error; rather, it's showing off some...rather thick white flakes falling from on high.
Snow in June? Snow in June.Thank you, mods.
Ishimaru can be heard laughing a bit in the background; the sound is oddly blunted, but it still the sound of a person that is approximately a thousand percent done with the day.]
This makes no sense whatsoever. None.
[At least it's too warm to stick for very long, though the moisture on the device is contributing to some awesome JJ Abrams lensflare effects.]
Tell me - is it doing this where any of you are as well, or...?
[The feed will shut off immediately after that's out there; those wanting action can find him wandering around Cherrygrove, looking incredulous as hell and, as Parker would describe it, he's definitely appreciating the sky today because good lord he cannot stop staring at this.
A thousand percent done.]

It evolved? [--aah, he wants to see what evolution is like. He wants to try upgrading his porygon. Heck, he sort of wants to try reprogramming his porygon but doesn't want to accidentally hurt it.] So you rode it here...
[Like Naegi mentioned he'd do with his.
For a second Fujisaki's busy imagining how fun it might be to ride a pokémon...]
Oowada-kun...? [...] No, that...it's okay. I already knew he was coming, so I...
[He's had time alone to mull things over for himself with this in mind, and the various things Naegi told him. So he can say with all sincerity (even if, certainly, he's nervous somewhere deep down still),] I'm looking forward to us all meeting up.
no subject
Excellent - I'm glad to hear it! Is Naegi-kun set to be here as well? I know he was nearby, the last time we spoke to one another, but...again, communication issues have been rampant...
no subject
But, he said that he would be. It feels like a...long time, somehow.
[It isn't as though they all knew each other for terribly long, when it comes down to it... Still, Fujisaki's excited.]
no subject
[...he knows the feeling, Fujisaki, oh man.]
Once we're inside, I'll see about contacting them - ah, that is, if you don't mind!
[...because somehow three guys in a room with a girl is less awkward than one. Don't. Don't ask. The implications will hit eventually.]
no subject
And then he shivers and his starly chirps and nah, maybe inside is best first.]
Sure, I don't mind... [His inn room is big enough for guests, he thinks. Though there's a shortage of chairs and of course these are his only concerns.] Do you think they'll come to meet us?
no subject
[...and that's about when "why not" hits and becomes a valid concern, hang on.]
...though again, this runs into the issue of there being boys alone in a room with a girl! It's not that I don't trust any of us, of course, but it's...it's not something that's really done!
no subject
[Chihiro hesitates--again with the girl part, he laments inside--and then fidgets, twisting his fingers together.] It doesn't really bother me...
[Plus, Ishimaru's there to keep them in...line...if they try anyth...ing......?????]
If it's just this once, won't it be okay? [Please, Ishimaru?]
no subject
[FUJISAKI...]
no subject
[He just wants to see everyone...
And his room is the first place he thought of. Plus, he and Ishimaru are going there already and he can have towels in case the others are wet from the snow and...etcetera.]
no subject
[...Okay, so. Let's try to problem-solve this. Logically, we have three options, right?
1. Everyone meets in Fujisaki's room. Which is awkward because of gender imbalance.
2. Everyone meets in someone else's room. Which is about a million times more awkward than meeting the girl in her own room because it's purposely bringing her into a room full of boys when said room is temporarily belonging to...well, at least one of the boys. Ahahaha, oh my god. Let's not.
3. Everyone meets in public. Last time more than two Hope's Peak kids met in public, they made something of a spectacle and ended up screeching about their end-of-life stories in front of a restaurant containing more than the three people relevant to the conversation. And, well, ahahaha oh my god let's not.
...right. Fujisaki's room is pretty much the most logically appealing choice here, isn't it, assuming they want to avoid onlookers, positions that are more compromising than they really need to be, and...uh, meeting outside, which is literally all they have in terms of a fourth option.]
I guess this one time won't hurt anything, since it is our best option...
no subject
[See, see how good an idea this is. Really, this problem could be solved if Fujisaki said that he was actually a boy, but he's not-- really ready to do that again, not yet. So instead he'll stick to his guns and.
Ah. He smiles brightly.]
Right...! Thank you, Ishimaru-kun.
no subject
He's going to be contemplating the ethics of this all night after this meeting is over, hon, just saying, but for the time being he's just going to try to push past it.]
Of course, Fujisaki-kun; I'm looking forward to this as well, after all!
no subject
Sorry to go and drag you out of your comfort zone, Ishimaru. It's gotta happen every now and again.]
Yes...! It'll be fun...
