009. Anonymous Text/Action for Goldenrod City
[ANONYMOUS TEXT]
[The anon text on the network tonight is simple and to-the-point, hitting at about eleven at night; it seems that somebody isn't sleeping easily.]
Is there a way to stop hating someone?
If not, is there at least a way to stop being so angry about it all the time?
[ACTION]
[While he's not straying too far from the house he and his classmates have more or less taken over (with the assistance of a ridiculous amount of Eevees), Ishimaru can be found wandering around outside tonight; he's staying close to the breeding center and the like, but he's definitely seeming more restless than usual, his actions aimless. He's been having difficulty sleeping for almost a week now; it probably shows in his mannerisms and his speech - everything has been seeming less enthusiastic than usual - but he's been trying to keep up appearances, if nothing else.
At least he's not alone for the time being; he's got Eeveemaru with him - one of the members of the great furball legion from the house, all decked out in what looks like a little replica of Ishimaru's coat and armband (because if Togami thinks he's getting any aspect of this back - Eevee or outfit - he's got another thought coming to him, apparently). The thing is just kind of chilling on his shoulders for now, seeming a bit bewildered at being outside at a reasonably late hour but not too bothered otherwise; once in a while it bats at something not visible to anyone but there nonetheless - seems he's got Aiko with him as well, though the Misdreavus isn't visible for now.
It's late, and he's tired, but at least the night is nice, if a bit overcast. Maybe it'll rain soon, who knows. He just doesn't feel like being inside.]

[And for a moment he seems about to leave it there, before the oh, right realization seems to kick in; his social skills still aren't the best, but at least they're making an attempt at manifesting once in a while in a way that isn't...too inappropriate.]
Did you want to discuss it?

[ He falls silent for a moment, not sure whether he wants to talk about it or not. Detention's a touchy topic for him and maybe if he doesn't talk about it will one day go away and stop haunting him in his dreams. But he's not sure he wants to keep it to himself forever, either. ]
...It was about my execution.

[And that's one of those things he shouldn't ask about, because for some reason people just don't; he's had that discussion with Naegi before, right? But at the same time, it doesn't feel right to just leave it alone, either. Okay. What do.]
...Well, I'll listen to you if you want to talk about it; if not, that's...that's fine, too.

[ He takes a deep breath to collect his thoughts. ]
I was in a classroom, but the desk I was sitting at was on a conveyor belt and behind me was some sort of...crusher that would slam down every few seconds. I couldn't see it but I could hear it getting closer and closer.

[It's one of the few things he can think of to say to something like that, though the words are tight, a burst of agitation flaring up abruptly; he manages to keep it in check, for the most part.]
You're the last person to deserve going through anything like that.

[ ... ]
...I still remember the sounds of the crusher. That was the worst part, I think.

[He reaches out to settle one of his hands on Naegi's shoulder, the gesture firm.]
If there's anything I can do for you, will you let me know?
choo choo all aboard the late tag express
Can you tell me what you're doing out here?
no worries, it happens
[The admission feels strange to him, given how often he yells at people to get to bed on time; he shifts a little, expression tightening a bit again, though he manages to keep from acting on whatever irritation is there. It's aimed entirely at himself, not Naegi, but still.]
It's nothing, though - too many thoughts at once, is all!

[He hesitates for a moment before continuing.]
During that...week we were asleep, and we all seemed to have the same dream - I saw Celes-kun there. It did strange things to my thoughts, but I'm sure it's nothing.

[Mnngh.]
She...she said she was sorry, but didn't tell us that because we wouldn't believe her. She seemed very upset - she also said something about us accepting Kuwata-kun and my brother, but treating her like some sort of monster. And after a while I started yelling at her, and then I just...
[He shakes his head a bit; he's not exactly comfortable telling Naegi about this, but at the same time, Miss Carmen seemed to think it might be good to discuss it, so...]
Sometimes I don't...feel very much? If things get bad enough, after a while everything just kind of stops. I'm sure it's nothing, it always passes before too long.
A-Anyway, that happened after a while, and it was just a bit disconcerting. The whole thing was disconcerting.

[ When she was executed, but he can't bring himself to finish that sentence. When Monobear lit the fires at the stake, and the flames crept closer to her and then the fire truck came in with blasting sirens and turned the site of the execution into a wreckage completely unlike what it had started out as. ]
But you don't feel much? That's rather unlike you. You tend to be...um, expressive.
