[The text that hits the network from Ishimaru's device is surprisingly brief and to-the-point today; no video for now, though it's not because he's a broken mess this time, at least. Just at that weird point where he's exhausted and completely riled at the same time, so his body isn't really sure what it wants to do with itself.]

How do you hope that other people will remember you? Not necessarily after you die or anything, though you can answer for that, too.

It's nothing pressing; just something I've been thinking about today.

Whether you respond or not, I hope that today is a good and productive day, and if not, I hope that tomorrow will be better for you. Keep your head up.

That Saionji was acting as one might expect and made the mistake of taunting someone who is very important to one of our classmates.

Maybe not, but it's not something that shouldn't have been done in public.

It's causing the spectacle that was out of line; I'm not going to try to claim that Saionji-kun didn't deserve what happened to her in some way, but it shouldn't have been done that way, in that place, if that makes any sense.

As I understand it, it was public humiliation in return for an attempt at public humiliation. What makes the method or the place so wrong?

...Well, first of all when you've been wronged by someone, you're not supposed to stoop to their level.

Being physically thrown in the pool is far more effective than name-calling. I would say it was at a higher level.

If anything, that makes it worse!

You have a very strange way of looking at retaliation.

It's not supposed to be retaliation, it's punishment for her actions.

For a consequence to be just, it has to be both effective and appropriate; while what I did was effective - I guess - it wasn't appropriate in terms of the location it was carried out, nor was it appropriate in proportion to what it was she did.

Can you explain your definition of appropriate?

If one has wronged someone you are close to, you are obligated to ensure that the method of punishment -- if it is not the same as retaliation -- is enough to ensure that not only will it not happen again, but that it will serve as a warning to others in the future.
